Mississippi (IPA: /ˌmɪ.sɪˈsɪ.pi/) is a state located in the southern region of the United States of America. It is probably considered the epitome of the Deep South as far as culture, language, etc. The state takes its name from the Mississippi River, which flows along its western boundary.
